Chris Mooney
About
Chris Mooney is an accomplished voice instructor and accomplished tenor who serves as Assistant Teaching Professor of Music at the College of William & Mary, where he is also the Applied Music Coordinator. With a Master of Music degree from The Juilliard School and a Bachelor of Music from the University of Texas at Austin, Mooney brings extensive classical training to his teaching. He has worked with students ranging from middle school to adult since 2000, and has taught at the collegiate level for over 20 years, developing expertise in Classical, Broadway, and Pop music techniques. Beyond his academic role, Mooney is Vice President/Governor for the Virginia National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) and is a frequent soloist with the Virginia Symphony and Opera. He is also a Faculty Member and Artist at OperaFestival di Roma. Through his private studio, Mooney Vocal Arts, he offers individual voice lessons and coaching for young people and adults to support a variety of performance goals, from classical art song to contemporary musical theatre.
