Dr. Chris A. Thompson is a Professor of Music (Voice) and Musical Director of MSU Opera at Missouri State University. Described as a 'supremely nuanced' and 'remarkable baritone,' Thompson performs as a lyric baritone soloist and serves as an adjudicator at regional and international competitions. His career includes over 75 opera roles, Carnegie Hall debut, Off-Broadway performance, and recordings on multiple labels including Naxos and Albany Records. Multiple students have won National Association of Teachers of Singing competitions and Presser Scholarships under his instruction.
