Chelsea Packard
About
Chelsea Packard is a Clinical Professor of Musical Theatre at the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre & Dance, specializing in private voice instruction. A BFA graduate of the University of Michigan herself, Chelsea is a Certified Master Teacher of the Estill Model of voice pedagogy and continues to study vocal acoustics and pedagogy with Ken Bozeman and applied voice with world-renowned voice coach Joan Lader. Her students can be seen on Broadway, Off-Broadway, in national tours, on television, and in regional theatres all over the country. Chelsea is a proud member of Actors Equity, SAG-AFTRA, and AGVA. Her Broadway credits include Wicked, Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, and the original Broadway casts of Promises Promises, Hands on a Hardbody, and The Radio City Spring Spectacular. She appeared in Kristin Chenoweth's PBS Live recording of her concert Home, performing a duet with Chenoweth of "Enough Is Enough." She was the original "Woman 2" in Edges by SMTD alumni Justin Paul and Benj Pasek, and can be heard on the cast recording.
Education & Qualifications
BFA in Musical Theatre from University of Michigan. Certified Master Teacher of the Estill Model of voice pedagogy. Continues advanced studies with Ken Bozeman (vocal acoustics and pedagogy) and Joan Lader (applied voice).
