Cathleen Wilder is an experienced voice instructor based in Albuquerque, New Mexico, serving the greater Santa Fe and Los Alamos areas. With over 30 years of teaching experience, she has helped countless singers develop their vocal technique and artistry. Originally a folk singer and songwriter, Cathleen later studied classical singing and holds a Master of Music in Voice Performance from the University of Oregon School of Music. Her teaching approach combines technical excellence with creative expression, helping singers of all styles build a solid technical foundation, better breath support, maximize their range, and understand their voice type. Cathleen provides instruction in ear-training, sight-singing, music theory, rhythm training, style development, and confidence building. She teaches private singing lessons and classes in Albuquerque, NM, and offers online lessons worldwide through her Laughing Spirit Singing studio. Students describe her as warm, friendly, and well-trained, with an ability to bring out the best in voices through her fun and effective teaching methods.
