Catherine Ortega Spitzer is a classical soprano recognized for her grace and warmth of tone, performing as an accomplished artist across opera, oratorio, and musical theater genres. Based in South Florida, she brings extensive professional performance experience with recent appearances including the role of Rosalinda in Die Fledermaus with First Coast Opera, soprano soloist in Handels Messiah with Miami Oratorio Society, and performances with the Sunrise Pops Orchestra. She has performed numerous operatic roles including La Contessa di Folleville in Rossinis Il viaggio a Reims, The Queen of the Night in Die Zauberflöte, Pamina in The Magic Flute, and roles in Così Fan Tutte and Amelia Goes to the Ball. Catherine has also appeared as a Professional Artist In Residence with Gulfshore Opera performing in concerts throughout Southwest Florida, demonstrating her commitment to the local arts community. She holds training in Meisner acting technique and is proficient in Italian and Spanish, enriching her interpretation of operatic and art song repertoire. Her teaching brings this wealth of performance experience to students seeking to develop their vocal artistry.
