Associate Professor of Voice at Oklahoma City University's Wanda L. Bass School of Music, where she has taught studio voice and lyric diction since 2008. Dr. McDaniel is an accomplished mezzo-soprano who has performed major operatic roles across Europe and the United States. She previously spent over a decade as a voice faculty member at Oklahoma Christian University. Her students maintain active performing careers on Broadway and national tours, and in companies such as New York City Opera, Portland Opera, and Sarasota Opera. Many of her students pursue advanced degrees at prestigious institutions including the New England Conservatory and University of North Texas. In 2015, her student Tevyn Hill became the first Oklahoma City University vocalist named Singer of the Year at the Texoma NATS competition.
