Cassie Okenka
About
Cassie Okenka is a professional Broadway performer and voice teacher based in Brooklyn, New York. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Theatre from Baldwin Wallace College-Conservatory of Music and earned a Certificate of Distinction in Vocal Pedagogy from Boston Conservatory at Berklee. Cassie is certified in Somatic Voicework™ (Levels I, II, and III - The LoVetri Method) and completed Commercial Contemporary Music Specialization through New York Vocal Coaching's Voice Teacher Training Certification. Her Broadway credits include Bonnie and Clyde, School of Rock (performing 8 shows weekly), and Wicked. Originally from Ohio, she started performing in 3rd grade in Annie Warbucks. As an educator, Cassie serves as adjunct voice instructor at Marymount Manhattan College and previously taught at University of Wisconsin-Parkside's Musical Theatre department. She has presented masterclasses for NYC Broadway organizations and national theatre programs, and made her directorial debut with The Addams Family Younger@Part Pilot Workshop premiere. She maintains professional memberships in NATS, PAVA, MTEA, and The Lessac Institute, and operates a private voice instruction studio in Brooklyn.
