Cassie Makeeff
About
Cassie Makeeff is a Teaching Artist of Vocal Coaching and Pianist at Drake University. A pianist and mezzo-soprano, she performs as both a soloist and collaborative artist. Her recent professional experience includes collaborating with Ballet Palm Beach performing Ravel's pas de deux with original George Balanchine choreography, performing Schubert works on Chicago radio, accompanying singers at the ACDA Convention, and performing Prokofiev sonatas internationally. Cassie has served as rehearsal pianist and vocal coach at Palm Beach Opera under Maestro David Stern and collaborated with Des Moines Metro Opera and Opera Iowa since relocating to Des Moines in 2020. She has extensive experience in educational settings including the DePaul Community Chorus and the Grammy-nominated Grant Park Chorus.
