Carol Westcott is a renowned Singing Voice Specialist with over 35 years of dedicated experience educating singers in her private studio in Baltimore, Maryland. Since establishing The Voice Within Studio in 1986, Carol has become a trusted resource for professional voice training and coaching at all levels, from beginners discovering their voice to seasoned performers refining their craft. Her expertise centers on how subtle and mindful changes in body positioning through repetition and vocal exercises can create powerful changes in vocal tone and strength. Carol's specialized knowledge encompasses all repertoire styles including Classical, Opera, Oratorio, Jazz, Musical Theatre, Belting, Pop, Rock, Contemporary, R&B, Folk and Christian music. She is highly regarded by Laryngologists and Speech Pathologists, receiving referrals from Johns Hopkins/GBMC Voice Center to work with singers recovering from vocal injuries. Carol's work with accomplished artists includes vocal coaching for Broadway performers, touring musicians, and Hollywood actors. She was the vocal coach for Episode 8 of the Netflix series House of Cards, where she arranged songs and coached actors including Kevin Spacey. Carol offers both in-person lessons at her Baltimore studio and online lessons via video conferencing, making her services accessible to singers throughout the region including the Eastern Shore.
