About

Carol Nike is a voice teacher and choral director in Las Cruces, New Mexico, serving as the director of the Mesilla Valley Chorale and music director at St. James Episcopal Church. She is a graduate of Las Cruces High School and holds a bachelors degree in voice performance and a masters degree in choral conducting, both from New Mexico State University. While living in the United Kingdom and working in the corporate world for many years, Nike was also active in church, classical and theatrical music. Since returning to Las Cruces in 2010, she conducted the Celestial Sounds womens chorale and continues to teach private voice lessons online and in person to students in Las Cruces and as far away as New York, San Francisco and England. Her teaching philosophy includes encouraging people to reach their potential and believing she can improve almost anyones voice. Nike Voice Studio has been active in the Las Cruces music community, helping students of all ages improve their singing and musicality. She took over as director of the Mesilla Valley Chorale in 2021 following the passing of the previous long-time director Nancy Ritchey.
