Caren Jensen is the artistic director of Salem Voice Academy and a passionate advocate for holistic vocal education. She is the former founder of Jensen Academy of Vocal Arts and served as founder and artistic director of the Willamette Girlchoir for over 20 years, leading extensive tours throughout Europe, Carnegie Hall in New York City, and Disneyland. Caren is a licensed ABME (Association for Body Mapping Educators) as well as an Ultimate Music Theory Elite educator and certified Ultimate Music Theory teacher. She emphasizes developing free and efficient bodies as foundations for vocal technique, enabling students to authentically express musical narratives with skill and confidence. Her teaching philosophy focuses on the whole singer, considering students' dreams, goals, and personal circumstances affecting learning and performance. Caren has taught in the Salem-Keizer School District for a number of years and brings extensive experience in vocal education, body mapping instruction, and music theory.
