Caitlin Cisler is a soprano and voice instructor in Missoula, Montana offering private voice lessons to students at all levels, from absolute beginners to advanced performers. She holds a Master's degree in Opera from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Bachelor's degrees in both Vocal Performance and Biology from Lawrence University. Her extensive teaching experience includes positions as Music Director at On Center for the Performing Arts (2013-2015), Studio Voice Instructor at Madison Music Foundry (2009-2013), Teaching Artist at Opera for the Young (2011-2012), and Graduate Teaching Assistant at UW-Madison School of Music (2007-2009). Caitlin emphasizes that a strong healthy understanding of the basics of singing can allow you to achieve your best success, whatever musical style you choose. Her teaching philosophy focuses on foundational singing techniques applicable across musical genres, with flexible approaches and personalized instruction. When one exercise or visualization isn't working, she'll try different approaches to meet each student's unique needs. Caitlin is a published researcher in vocal health and the effects of singing on the immune system, bringing scientific understanding to her vocal pedagogy. She works with singers of all styles and ages, helping them develop healthy vocal techniques and build confidence in their singing.
