Brooke Tolley is General Director of Opera Roanoke and a professional soprano with over a decade of performance experience in the Roanoke region and beyond. A native of Roanoke, Virginia, she has maintained a private voice studio in the Roanoke Valley since 2012 and has taught at Opera Roanoke, the Jefferson Center's Music Lab, and Hollins University. She was selected as one of only three women opera administrators nationwide to attend The Hart Institute for Women Opera Conductors and Administrators at The Dallas Opera in 2018. Tolley was named one of Roanoke's 40 Under 40 by The Roanoker magazine in 2021 and is a participant in Leadership Roanoke Valley's Class of 2019. She is passionate about making opera accessible to everyone and breaking down stereotypes surrounding the art form.
