About
Brandon Record is a Voice Teaching Artist and Adjunct Professor of Voice at Drake University, as well as a tenor vocalist and conductor with significant professional experience. A native of Gillette, Wyoming, Brandon has sung and conducted nationally and internationally as a soloist and with choirs all over the world, with extensive stage production experience. At Drake University, he contributes to voice instruction and vocal ensemble direction. Beyond his university role, Brandon serves as the Director of Choirs at Lincoln High School in Des Moines, leading the high school's vocal music program and mentoring the next generation of singers. He also works as Music Director and Stage Manager at the Des Moines Community Playhouse, where he directs music for theatrical productions including Broadway musicals. Additionally, Brandon is the Director of the Des Moines Diversity Chorus and a Teaching Artist at City Voices Des Moines. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Music Education with minors in Vocal Performance and Pedagogy from the University of Sioux Falls and is currently pursuing a Master's degree from Drake University, where he continues to develop advanced vocal pedagogy skills.
