Brandon Motz is an accomplished director of theatre and musical theatre who has served on the faculty of University of Louisiana at Lafayette as an instructor of voice since 2020. A Colorado native, Motz brings extensive experience in teaching, coordinating, and managing music programs at various institutions. He leads Music Theatre workshops at the UL Lafayette Vocal Arts Camp, where he shares his expertise in vocal performance for musical theatre. In 2024, Motz was selected as the Performing Arts Director for Acadiana Center for the Arts, where he is responsible for booking shows at the James Devin Moncus Theater. As a UL Lafayette adjunct instructor, he was named a semifinalist for the prestigious Charles Nelson Reilly Prize in Directing in the theater/musical theater division for The American Prize competition. He has directed notable productions at UL Lafayette, including the musical Urinetown. Prior to his work in Lafayette, Motz worked at the Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. His teaching approach combines his extensive directing experience with vocal instruction, helping students develop both their vocal technique and stage performance skills.
