Brady R. McElligott
About
Brady R. McElligott is an Associate Professor of Music in Opera and Voice and Director of Opera Studies at the University of Tulsa. A composer, pianist, coach, and vocalist with extensive experience in opera direction and vocal instruction, McElligott spent 15 years at the University of New Mexico as musical director and opera coach, collaborating with renowned opera diva Marilyn Tyler. He has served as musical director for multiple opera companies and performed as a vocalist with Opera Southwest and the Santa Fe Opera. At the University of Tulsa, he teaches voice, diction for singers, vocal pedagogy, opera literature and vocal literature, and directs the Opera Theatre. Notable recordings of his compositions and vocal works are available, showcasing his expertise in both composition and performance.
