About

Brad Hougham is a Professor of Voice and Music Performance at Ithaca College School of Music, Theatre, and Dance. Originated from Saskatchewan, he developed his musical passion through family support and inspirational teachers. His career includes eight seasons at the Metropolitan Opera and eleven summers teaching in Spoleto, Italy. His teaching philosophy centers on two core principles: communication and the artistry of individual vocal technique. He emphasizes that the word is paramount and must never be sacrificed, and recognizes that the human voice is a neurological and organic instrument.
