Bonita Bunt
About
Soprano Bonita Bunt is Director of Opera and Assistant Professor of Music at the University of Mississippi. With extensive experience in opera performance and instruction, she has worked as soloist, stage director, and stage manager for multiple opera companies, festivals, schools, and workshops across the United States, Europe, and internationally. Her favorite operatic roles include the Queen of the Night, Zerbinetta, Tytania, Edith in The Pirates of Penzance, and Giannetta in L'elisir d'amore. Dr. Bunt is also a Consent-Forward Artist through Intimacy Directors and Coordinators, Inc., and teaches undergraduate diction and applied voice.
Education & Qualifications
Doctorate in Music from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (DMA). Graduate certificate in Vocology. Extensive opera and stage direction training.
