Bethany Goldson
About
Bethany Goldson is a soprano voice teacher, music director, and stage director based in Corpus Christi, TX. She holds a B.A. in Music - Voice from the University of St. Thomas in Houston and a M.M. in Voice from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. As the founder of Voice Lessons with Bethany (voicelessonscc.com), she was awarded Young Entrepreneur of the Year from Del Mar's Small Business Development Center in 2024. She is a frontier in children's theater in the coastal bend and co-directs studio theater intensives at the Harbor Playhouse, where she has performed in many musicals. Her performance background includes roles such as Sarah in Quilters, The Mother in Stravinsky's Mavra, Bianca in Britten's Rape of Lucretia, and Ma Moss in Copland's The Tender Land as a full scholarship recipient for Seattle Opera's inaugural opera academy in 2017. As a director, she has directed Seussical (2021), James and the Giant Peach (2023), and Fun Home (2023), and music directed Avenue Q (2023) and High School Musical (2023). Her students have won prestigious awards from the Music International Grand Prix, MAP-IMC, Great Composers Competition, and Hal Leonard Vocal Competition, and have received scholarships to UT Rio Grande Valley, Berklee College of Music, and been accepted to Interlochen, San Antonio Broadway Theater, Houston Grand Opera, and Oklahoma City Musical Theater programs. She is a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS).
