Benjamin Boskoff

Dr. Benjamin Boskoff is an opera singer (tenor), voice teacher, and coach based in Minneapolis. He holds advanced degrees from prestigious music programs and maintains a private studio serving singers across musical theatre, classical, and commercial music genres. Dr. Boskoff taught private voice and voice classes at the University of Colorado Boulder during his doctoral studies and continues to maintain an active teaching practice. His approach emphasizes healthy singing mechanics as a foundational priority, integrating practical application with mechanistic understanding. He specializes in lyric diction instruction, healthy vocal phonation and technique, and the connection between text interpretation and musical expression. Benjamin is active in opera productions, recitals, and chamber music across the United States and internationally, specializing in Bel Canto repertoire, Benjamin Britten compositions, Czech national works, and contemporary chamber music. He is currently a student of George Smith in the Twin Cities area and is co-founder of the Tenor|Horn Project with Valerie Sly. His pedagogical influences include studies under Dr. Freda Herseth, Dr. Gregory Broughton, and Dr. Scott Piper.
