Anthony Dean Griffey is a Grammy-winning tenor and Professor of Voice at the Eastman School of Music, University of Rochester. He is an accomplished singer with a distinguished 30-year career in opera and concert music, best known for his interpretation of the title role in Benjamin Britten's Peter Grimes which he has sung at the Metropolitan Opera, Paris Opera, and leading opera houses worldwide. His operatic repertoire ranges from Beethoven to Britten and includes leading roles in major opera productions. As a dedicated teacher, Anthony has taught at prestigious institutions including the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, where his students have gone on to win international competitions and perform in major opera houses and concert halls.

Performer's Certificate and Master of Music, Eastman School of Music. Bachelor's degree from Wingate University. Advanced Certificate from Juilliard School. Member of the Metropolitan Opera's Lindemann Young Artists Program.
