Anne Marie Kenny is a highly accomplished vocal coach and voice instructor based in Omaha, Nebraska, where she has been teaching private voice lessons for over 20 years at her spacious studio in midtown Omaha. With an extraordinary background spanning international performance and European training, Ms. Kenny brings world-class expertise to her teaching. She spent 30 years working with Janine Reiss of Paris, France, one of the greatest vocal coaches of the modern era, and spent 20 years living and performing throughout Europe, including performances at the Paris Ritz Hotel, Monte Carlo Beach Regency, Théatre de Cannes, and Pragues famous Reduta Club at President Vaclav Havels personal request. Ms. Kenny is fluent in written and spoken French and has working knowledge of Czech, Spanish, and Italian. In her early career, she learned foundational bel canto technique and classical repertoire with Diana Morrison and Mary Fitzsimmons Massie in Omaha. She has also taken courses and master classes at the École Normale de Musique de Paris, the Juilliard School of Music in New York, and the Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore. Ms. Kenny earned a Masters degree in Organizational Leadership from the College of Saint Mary. Her teaching results speak for themselves: many of her students are chosen for leading roles in musical theater productions, have been selected for Opera Omahas chorus, and have won first and second place awards in State, Regional, and National singing competitions. She specializes in classical repertoire, musical theater styles, and healthy vocal technique development.
