Anna Mandina
About
Italian American soprano Anna Mandina is Adjunct Instructor of Voice at the University of Missouri. She has been hailed as a true Puccini lyric soprano by Opera News and recently earned acclaim for performing Mimi in Sarasota Opera La boheme production. Her mainstage debut with Sarasota involved 13 performances as Liu in Turandot, where critics noted her impressive and heart-rending portrayal. Her signature roles include Countess Almaviva in Le nozze di Figaro, Violetta Valery in La traviata, Susannah Polk in Susannah, Fiordiligi in Cosi fan tutte, and Hanna Glawari in The Merry Widow. Anna has won the Sarasota Opera Guild Leo M. Rogers Award for Outstanding Apprentice Artist and the Music Teachers National Association Young Artist Vocal Competition.
