Angela Niederloh is a charismatic mezzo-soprano and co-founder of VOXnorthwest Voice Studio in Portland, Oregon, recognized by The New York Times as a talented coloratura mezzo-soprano. With 15 years of leading mezzo-soprano roles at Portland Opera and numerous prestigious awards across the United States, including finalist status at the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions, Angela brings exceptional performance credentials to her teaching. She honed her singing and performance skills through apprenticeships at Houston Grand Opera and San Francisco Opera, appearing in iconic roles including Meg Page in Falstaff, Karolka in Jenůfa, the Second Lady in Die Zauberflöte, Flora in La Traviata, and Olga in The Merry Widow. Her performance credits include solo work with the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, San Francisco Opera Orchestra, Oregon Symphony, Aspen Festival Orchestra, and numerous regional ensembles. Angela is a Portland State University graduate and former faculty member at both Portland State University and Pacific University in Forest Grove, and was a co-founder of Oregon Lyric Opera.
