About
Amy Stout-Jeffers is a mezzo-soprano voice instructor with over 25 years of experience teaching voice at all age levels. She graduated from Graceland University in 1997 with Bachelor Degrees in Music and Music Education, and earned her Master of Music in Vocal Performance with honors from the University of Kansas in 2002. Many of her former students work professionally across the midwestern United States, New York, Los Angeles, and Australia as successful music teachers, actors in television and stage, and musicians. Amy is a sought after clinician and adjudicator known for her insights into the vocal instrument and psyche. She believes that singing and teaching are not just about the voice, but about the whole person. She previously taught elementary music in Kansas school districts and private voice at Graceland University for a decade. Her choral experience includes performing with the Grammy-winning Kansas City Chorale and serving as founding member of the Spire Chamber Ensemble. She teaches at the Music|Arts Institute and maintains her private studio Vocalgoddess in Independence, Missouri.
