Amy Murphy is a renowned vocal performer and instructor who trained in Opera Performance and Music Education at Juilliard and the New England Conservatory of Music. With over 31 years of professional singing and teaching experience, she has developed and patented her own vocal technique (U.S. Patent No. 8,629,341) based on natural vocal reflexes. Amy has performed at prestigious venues including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center (Avery Fisher Hall), Radio City Music Hall, and the Dicapo Opera Theatre. She has taught voice at the University of Alabama and currently serves as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Montevallo. Amy maintains a large private voice studio in the Mountain Brook area of Birmingham and conducts the Junior League of Birmingham Choral Group, an accomplished women's chorus that has performed at Carnegie Hall multiple times.
