About
Amelia Seyssel is a master-level Suzuki voice teacher and classical vocalist based in Poughkeepsie, NY. She holds an ESA Level 5 Diploma, the most advanced accreditation for Suzuki Voice teaching, and was the first U.S. citizen to earn full ESA accreditation across all five Suzuki Voice training levels. With a Master of Fine Arts in Vocal Performance and Literature from Mills College, California, and a Teacher Certificate from the Talent Education Institute of Singing in Vantava, Finland, Amelia brings world-class training to her studio. She has studied with prestigious instructors including Donna Petersen (San Francisco Opera judge), Jane Manning (BBC Recording Artist), Joyce McLean (formerly Juilliard School), and Nico Castel. Her international experience spans Finland, Australia, Japan, Mexico, and the USA. Amelia specializes in Art Song repertoire in English, Spanish, and French languages, and is a regular soloist at the Poughkeepsie Reformed Church. She is a member of NATS (National Association of Teachers of Singing), MTNA, and serves on the Suzuki Association of the Americas Voice Committee.
