Amelia Rollings Bigler

Dr. Amelia Rollings Bigler is an Associate Professor of Voice and Voice Pedagogy at Coastal Carolina University in Conway, South Carolina, where she leads the Center for Group-Voice Pedagogy and Research. As a renowned voice pedagogy researcher and educator, Dr. Rollings Bigler specializes in teaching classical voice technique, musical theatre voice instruction, and contemporary commercial music pedagogy. She holds a PhD in Vocal Pedagogy from The University of Kansas, a Master of Music in Voice Performance and Pedagogy from Pennsylvania State University, and a Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance from Columbia College. She also holds a Bachelor of Music Education with piano emphasis from Columbia College. Dr. Rollings Bigler is an accomplished scholar with publications in prestigious journals including the Journal of Voice and Journal of Singing. She was the 2018 recipient of the Van L. Lawrence Fellowship from the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) and The Voice Foundation, and was the first recipient of the prestigious Clifton Ware Group-Voice Pedagogy Award. She currently serves as President-Elect of the Pan American Vocology Association Board of Directors. Her research and teaching focus on innovative approaches to voice instruction and the science of vocal pedagogy.
