Amanda Horton is a soprano based in Asheville and Brevard, North Carolina, offering voice lessons with a unique "Whole-Singer" approach that emphasizes physical, psychological, emotional, and spiritual discovery. She believes anyone with a healthy sense of curiosity and play can develop their singing abilities. Her students have been accepted to prestigious conservatories including UNC School of the Arts, Interlochen, and Eastman School of Music. Amanda welcomes students of all musical styles and experience levels, and her students have participated in choirs, bands, sacred/worship groups, operas, jazz combos, and musical theatre. Her teaching focuses on eliminating tension, proper breath management, increased stamina, and developing musicality and expression. Amanda offers both in-person lessons in Asheville and Brevard as well as virtual lessons via Zoom and FaceTime.
