Amanda Guidi
About
Dr. Amanda Guidi joined the Hardin-Simmons University music faculty in 2023 as Assistant Professor of Voice. Originally from the metro-Atlanta area, she founded two Title-I general music programs teaching K-6 grades. Dr. Guidi earned a Bachelor of Music degree from Berry College, a Master of Music in Performance and Literature from the Eastman School of Music, and a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Voice Performance from the University of North Texas. Her teaching experience includes positions at the University of North Texas as a Teaching Fellow, as well as at Abilene Christian University and McMurry University. Notable operatic roles include the Countess in UNT Opera's production of Le Nozze di Figaro, the title character Elaine in John Musto's opera, and Agatha in Der Freischütz. She has performed with Red River Lyric Opera, Abilene Philharmonic Orchestra, and Rome Symphony Orchestra, and participated in masterclasses with renowned soprano Renée Fleming.
