Allyssa Kemp is a High Lyric Mezzo-soprano and voice teacher based in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She is a 2016 graduate of the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre and Dance, where she received her Master of Music in Voice Performance. Allyssa is a native of Florida who attended Stetson University for her Bachelor of Music in Voice with a focus in Music Education and Choral Conducting. She has been privately teaching voice since 2014 and has been singing classically since 2005. Allyssa has been a featured artist with the University of Michigan Opera Theatre and Opera MODO located in Detroit. Her teaching experience spans over a decade, working with students of various ages and skill levels. Allyssa combines her performance experience with her educational background in music education to provide comprehensive vocal instruction that addresses both technical development and musical expression. She maintains an active performing career while dedicating herself to developing the next generation of singers.
