Allison Standley
About
Allison Standley is a Pacific Northwest native voice teacher and vocal coach based in Ballard, Seattle. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theater from the University of Washington and is a graduate of the Voice Teacher Training Program through New York Vocal Coaching led by Justin Stoney. She is a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing, attending workshops for current vocal science and pedagogy. Allison has 8+ years teaching private voice lessons with many long-term students and served as resident theater and singing teacher at a local homeschool co-op from 2013-2021. She has directed youth productions with Stage Struck in West Seattle since 2012, with students cast in productions at Village Theatre's Kidstage, Seattle Youth Opera, Broadway Bound, and Stage Struck. As a performer, she has 11+ years of professional theater work featuring roles in She Loves Me, My Fair Lady, Into The Woods, Cabaret, and Les Misérables across multiple theaters. She earned a Gregory Award for her performance as Kate in The Wild Party and has received three additional Gregory Award nominations. Her teaching focuses on musical theater preparation, incorporating current vocal science and pedagogy.
