About
Alison Leadbetter-Hines has been singing, teaching, and conducting in the Washington DC Metro area since 1972, with over 41+ years of professional experience as a musician and educator. She earned her BME in Music Education (Voice major, Piano minor) from Shenandoah Conservatory of Music and is a member of NATS. Alison has the passion and insight to inspire the next generation of vocalists and teaches a diverse variety of musical styles including world music, pop, opera, jazz, folk, gospel, rock, classical, and musical theater. As an experienced choral conductor, she has developed and worked with groups including the KICK Choir at Hughes Methodist Church and The Rockville Chorus, and has music-directed at area high schools. She teaches both privately and for the Montgomery County Department of Recreation. Her private studio serves the Washington, DC and surrounding Maryland/Virginia areas with a location in Silver Spring, MD.
