Alicia Reid
About
Alicia Reid is a Canadian-American soprano and voice teacher based in the Greensboro area. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts and a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. As a versatile performer, Alicia has performed regularly with local opera and theater companies including Piedmont Opera, Summerfield Stage Company, Creative Greensboro, and Community Theatre of Greensboro. Her operatic roles include the Queen of the Night in Mozarts Die Zauberflote, the title character in Little Red Riding Hood, and various ensemble roles in Tosca and Cinderella. Recent musical theater performance credits include Maria Rainer in The Sound of Music with Creative Greensboro, Cinderella in Into the Woods with Lexington Live, Phoebe in A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder, and Glinda in The Wizard of Oz with Community Theatre of Greensboro. In 2022, she was a semifinalist in the National Musical Theatre Competition in New York City. Alicia is also a professional accompanist and classically trained harpist, and she sings with Bel Canto, a professional choral ensemble in Greensboro.
