Alice Anne Light

Dr. Alice Anne Light is an associate professor of voice and Associate Director for Student Affairs at Texas Tech University. The mezzo-soprano has been praised by Opera Today for her 'sumptuous mezzo... beautifully even tone, a very wide range.' She brings versatility across opera, musical theatre, art song, oratorio, and concert repertoire. Recent roles include Rosina in Il barbiere di Siviglia, Augusta Tabor in The Ballad of Baby Doe, and Thisbe in La Cenerentola. She has previously taught at Northwestern Mississippi Community College and William Jewell College before joining Texas Tech University faculty in fall 2018.
