Alexis Renee Ward

About

Alexis Renee Ward is an award-winning composer, arranger, conductor, singer, music educator, adjudicator, and accompanist with over 15 years of professional experience in sacred music and the non-profit sector. In the summer of 2022, she was appointed as the Artistic Director of the Easton Choral Arts Society, a community choir based in Talbot County on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Alexis holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Theory and Composition from the University of Delaware (2010) and a Master of Music degree in Choral Conducting from the University of Delaware (2012). Her extensive experience includes conducting amateur to professional level community choirs and orchestras, church choirs, children's choirs, handbells, praise bands, folk ensembles, theater troupes, and chamber groups. Her compositions have been performed across North America, Europe, and Africa, and have been featured on renowned stages including Carnegie Hall. In addition to her role at Easton Choral Arts, Alexis serves as Director of Music at Trinity Presbyterian Church of Wilmington, Artistic Director of the Chester River Chorale, Composer-in-Residence for Sine Nomine, and Creator/Co-Founder of the Sonus School of Music. Her work contributes significantly to the vibrant musical culture of the Eastern Shore.
