American soprano Alexandra Schoeny is Assistant Professor of Voice at the University of Missouri. Her voice has been described as hauntingly beautiful by Opera News, with praise for her convincing character portrayals and ability to embody melodrama with flair. In repertoire spanning Monteverdi to Gregory Spears, she is known for her versatility and engaging stage presence. Her operatic roles include Donna Anna, Pamina, Adina, Cunegonde, and numerous leading soprano parts. She has performed with the Philadelphia Orchestra, Atlanta Symphony, Cincinnati Symphony, Cincinnati Opera, and Cincinnati Ballet. Alexandra is co-founder of Crossover Camp, a program bridging musical theatre and opera performance, and co-founder of Breath Collective, focused on vocal music production and development.
