Adriane Kerr is a professional opera singer and voice instructor at The Academy of Music in Norfolk, Virginia. She holds degrees in Vocal Performance from both Virginia Commonwealth University and the prestigious New England Conservatory, demonstrating her commitment to high-quality vocal training. A performing soprano, Kerr maintains an active career performing with major opera companies including Virginia Opera, Berkshire Opera, Wildcloud Opera, and Glimmerglass Opera. With extensive teaching experience spanning over a decade, she has been an instructor of private voice, music theory, diction, and acting at the Governor's School for the Arts since 2012, where she has shaped the vocal development of talented young musicians. She joined Old Dominion University as an adjunct voice instructor in fall 2021, expanding her teaching reach in the Norfolk area. Kerr finds fulfillment in both classroom instruction and performance work, and expresses enthusiasm about contributing to the Academy of Music's mission to provide artistic fulfillment to students of all levels.
