The Singing Carrots AI Vocal Coach Just Got More Attentive to You

  • by

Our latest update to the Singing Carrots AI Vocal Coach is not a small iteration. If we were numbering versions, this would be the leap from 1.0 to 2.0. The update integrates our Zero to Singing Hero course, has smarter practice memory, and offers coach-led challenges.

A good singing practice app can tell you whether you hit the note. A real coach does much more: it gives you a path, remembers what you have already learned, adjusts the next session, and knows when to challenge you.

That is the idea behind our latest Singing Carrots update. The AI Vocal Coach has grown from a place to practise into a more complete learning experience. Beginners can now follow a structured course inside their coaching sessions, while every singer benefits from smarter exercise choices, new breath work, and optional competitive challenges.

The full four-week beginner course now lives inside the coach

Our Zero to Hero course was already designed to guide complete beginners through their first weeks of singing. Until now, however, the course and the AI coaching experience lived in separate parts of Singing Carrots.

They now work together. When you follow the course, the day’s warm-up video appears before your coaching session. During the session, the coach can introduce the relevant theory and exercise videos at the moment you need them. Completing a real coaching session also counts toward that day’s course progress.

New singers who have not enrolled can be invited by the coach itself. This means you no longer need to decide what to study first, jump between different tools, or build your own practice plan from scratch. The coach can take you through a structured four-week path from inside the session itself.

Your coach remembers your progress

A useful coach should not treat every practice session like your first. The Singing Carrots coach remembers your goals, preferences, constraints, and previous instructions, so it can continue from where you left off.

It also remembers every exercise you have sung, how often you tried it, and your best result. Once you have mastered a pattern, the coach can stop serving it again and again. That leaves more time for exercises that are still useful to you.

The exercise intelligence also understands how difficult a task tends to be across singers. That gives your result more context. Sometimes a score that feels merely ‘good’ is actually impressive because the exercise is genuinely difficult—and your coach can recognise that.

Coach-led challenges add play without taking over your practice

Some singers are motivated by a clear lesson plan. Others also enjoy a little competition. The coach can now offer Pitch Training challenges during a session when you are ready for them.

You can complete the challenge, see your score and personal record, and check your weekly leaderboard standing without leaving the coaching conversation. The coach reacts to your result and, when competition helps you stay engaged, can include more challenges in future sessions.

The important part is that the game serves the learning. Challenges are an optional boost—not a replacement for technique, listening, and thoughtful practice.

New breath-control and note-steadiness training

The coach can now include sustain-hold exercises: holding one note for between five and thirty seconds while maintaining a steady sound.

These exercises train breath control, support, and vocal steadiness. Your personal bests are recorded, and you can earn carrot rewards as you improve. Breath work is therefore no longer tucked away in a separate tool; it can become a natural part of a coached session and a structured beginner plan.

A smoother experience across devices

The update also includes a broad set of reliability improvements:

  • More reliable coach audio and melody playback on iPhone.
  • Better automatic microphone handling when Bluetooth headphones are connected.
  • Clearer results, with note highlights and the numerical score now staying in agreement.
  • Improved in-app video playback on iPhone and cleaner audio testing in Safari.
  • A new privacy option that lets users hide their profile from public leaderboards.

A coach that teaches, remembers, and adapts

The purpose of this update is not to add more buttons. It is to make practice feel more connected. Your course, exercises, progress, breathing work, and optional challenges can now live in one guided experience.

Whether you are starting from zero or returning to singing with a specific goal, the AI Vocal Coach can give you a clearer next step—and avoid wasting time on work you have already mastered.
