The Singing Carrots Vocal Pitch Monitor (https://singingcarrots.com/pitch-monitor) is a real-time vocal pitch detection tool designed to help singers visually track the notes they are singing. It uses the user’s microphone to analyze vocal input and displays pitch data both on a piano keyboard and an accuracy graph.

Step-by-Step User Flow

Step 1: Page Load – Microphone Access Prompt

Upon loading the page, the user is greeted with a modal popup titled:
"Launching pitch detector"

The popup includes: - Mic illustration
- Message: “We will display the notes you sing or play on our interactive piano. To detect the notes, we will need access to your microphone.”
- A single “Ok” button to proceed.

⚠️ Browser permissions are required at this stage. Users must allow microphone access to proceed with pitch detection.


Step 2: Main Interface – Vocal Pitch Monitor

Once the user grants microphone access, the main tool interface is displayed. The layout consists of several interactive and informational components: - Title: Vocal Pitch Monitor

Step 3: Pitch Feedback Display

Step 5: Pitch Accuracy Zones (Gray Bar)

Above the piano is a gray accuracy bar, divided into 5 color‑coded pitch zones, helping users understand the precision of their intonation:
